Invitation to the Funeral Ceremony for Our Martyrs

The Myanmar military junta currently bans all funeral and religious rites dedicated to the Burmese peaceful protesters who lost their lives in the pursuit of freedom, peace and justice for Myanmar during the brutal military crackdown. According to Burmese Buddhist custom, a set of funeral and religious rites dedicated to the deceased is compulsory for the dead to have peace in the afterlife and for their smooth incarnation.

In commemoration of the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the fallen Burmese peaceful protesters as well as in sympathy with their bereaved families who are suffering from the excruciating pain of bereavement and the injustice of the junta, Overseas Burmese Patriots cordially invite all patriotic Burmese (you) to the funeral ceremony of praying for and paying tributes to those honorable martyrs.

Date : 14th October 2007 (Sunday)
Time : 8:30 am to 11:30 am
Venue : Toa Payoh Myanmar Buddhist Monastery
Note : To show great respect for and to honor the fallen martyrs, please wear solid red tops to the funeral ceremony.

I think I shall be going to that ceremony as I feel terribly sorry for those who sacrified their lives during the protest. If I am one of the members of the Novel Prize Comiitte,I would give Novel Prize (Peace 2007)to those who gave thier lives for Burma.Particularly the monks who are really appreciated and honourable.I am so glad to hear Patriotic Burmese People celbrating for them may bring them peace and traquil in their next life.I hope that Military Junta is stepping down soon and perhaps we would reform a democratic soceity which would have good infrastructure,well-organised and peaceful environment and would give good security for the people living in the country. Crisis are no longer exist. In next twenty years,Burma should buck up well and probably will become one of the top Country again.
